Facebook Launched ‘Shops’ for Facebook and Instagram

Recently, Facebook has rolled out Shops on both Facebook and Instagram. This new update is an eCommerce function which allow those businesses to list their products for sale and pretty convenience for them.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook has announced that creating a Facebook Shops is free yet simple. It enable businesses setup products listings on their Facebook Page, Instagram profile as well as Stories. Furthermore, he also mentioned that in the future businesses can sell products to their customers by using the chat features of WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram Direct as well as tag products during the livestreams.

Previously Facebook allow businesses list out their products on Facebook and Instagram. But now with the new update of Facebook Shop, businesses now able to upload their catalogs once to make them accessible across Facebook’s various apps.

Not only that, Facebook do mentioned that they encourage small businesses to remain actively engaged with the platform even though Facebook Shops is free. The company also announced that they will use $100 million program to support those small businesses through grants and a way for small businesses to sell gift cards directly to customers through Facebook since the pandemic began.

Last but not least, the company said that they will roll out Facebook Shops on Tuesday and become more widely available over the coming months. They also hope that this new update may help the small businesses which facing problem due to the COVID-19.
