According to reports, Google is developing a complete web page scrolling screenshot function for the Chrome browser on Android devices. Before this implementation, users in the Android ecosystem had no choice but to rely on third-party applications if they wanted to preform complete screenshots. This is because Android devices lack of scrolling capabilities when performing screenshots for full page coverage.
“Long screenshot” feature was first discovered by Chrome Story under the new experimental logo for Google Chrome on Android. According of the description of the logo, it briefly explains how the feature enables the Chrome UI to edit and share long screenshots on Android at the same time.
However, this update seems to have a minor issue. If users can perform scrolling screenshots after the update is officially released, please note that you can only perform complete screenshots in the Chrome tab. Unfortunately, for other applications outside of the Google Chrome environment, third-party applications are still required.
At the time of writing, the above feature is not currently available, and it is not clear whether Google will officially release this feature in the next few months.
