Google’s new app – Fundo makes it available for users to meet and greets with their fans via the internet. This is due to Area 120, Google’s internal startup incubator, in terms to give influencers around the world a platform to host paid online events. This app allows hosts to fully control the cost to attend an event or free tickets can be offered if they would like to.
Most of the logistics part is in charge by the software, ticketing and livestreaming are also included. This is for those influencers that don’t have to use multiple apps to get their fans on the same video call. One of the features that is reassuring is that only people with their ticket along can attend.
If you are a regular user, you can find Fundo events from links which people share or from the homepage of the app’s. Apparently, you no need to experience outside of Fundo as you no need to download any other apps already.
Furthermore, besides YouTubers, Area 120 also mentions that many other different fields of people are taking benefit of the app, for instance, lifestyle consultants, authors and fitness instructors.
Last but not least, you may guess Fundo is an action and response to the coronavirus global pandemic. But actually this software had been worked by Area 120 before this current situation by a couple years. Project inspiration is after the visit of Fundo’s creators to VidCon in 2018, seeing that content creators out there interact with their fans.
Currently only in the US and Canada is available to use Fundo, but more countries will be available soon. Lets see.
