Tesla 2FA

Two factor- authentication (2FA) will be added to Tesla customer accounts confirmed by Elon Musk on Twitter over the weekend. He states that this information is “embarrassingly late”, obviously, this added security measure is on the way.

Musk also revealed that 2FA will be available via authenticator or SMS.

However, Musk didn’t provide a timeline but he gave a saying that it is in the ”final validation”.

Best in Protecting Accounts

2FA is one of the best ways in protecting accounts against being hijacked. For instance, people won’t have the chance to log in, even if they have your username or password, only when they have this second code, then they might be able to log in. Anyhow, Tesla 2FA are commonly considered much more secure.

Moreover, adding 2FA, which requires inserting a code generated from a separate device (normally a smartphone), will add an extra layer for its keyless entry system as a security. Musk, didn’t mention when Tesla 2FA will be available, so, stay tuned.
