Maxis and Public Bank Bhd. (Public Bank) are joining forces to further advance the digital transformation of Malaysian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
This partnership, which had been formalised in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony, will see a combined effort by both companies to raise awareness for digitalisation among SMEs. This programme will also equip SMEs with the access to digital solutions and provide the financial assistance needed for their implementation.
Helping SMEs Through Collaboration: Joint Activities and Exclusive Partnership
Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Tay Ah Lek, the Managing Director and CEO of Public Bank, expressed that this partnership will allow Malaysian SMEs to benefit from both the financial and technological sectors. A Bridge to SMEs Digital Success: Awareness Programs and Financial Support
To maximise the impact of the partnership, both parties will explore opportunities to jointly engage their respective customers through physical and online activities. This could include activities like awareness talks across Public Bank branches.
In addition, Maxis Business will serve as the official telecommunications and digital partner of Public Bank’s PB Enterprise Digital SME Assist Programme. This will allow Public Bank’s SME customers to utilise Maxis’ suite of connectivity and digital solutions to cater to their varied business requirements, such as mobile and fixed connectivity, payments, e-commerce, cloud, and cybersecurity.
Maxis Business will also help Public Bank’s SME customers apply for the Geran Digital PMKS Madani digitalisation grant scheme offered by the Malaysian Government. SMEs in need of additional financial assistance can also explore the various financing solutions provided by Public Bank.
